High temperature heat transfer fluid

Does anyone know of a heat transfer fluid that we could use to heat a heat sensitive coal tar pitch stream from about 375 deg C to about 390 deg C. We currently use a fired heater but the coils coke off after a few months. We would need a fluid that is stable up to a film temperature of about 500 deg C. Most of the popular ones (Therminol and Dowtherm) peak at around 400 deg C. HAZOP at

i think the temp scale for chemtherm products is °F.

Chemtherm peaks out at 700 deg F. I came across molten salt. Mixtures of sodium, potassium, and lithium chloride cover the range from about 700 deg F and a lot higher. I had come across this heat transfer fluid in a sulphuric acid plant design. HAZOP at

There are specially designed electric heaters in which the flow regimes around the elements are so designed as to attain reasonable shearing stresses and turbulence to avoid coking up.

I've seen them succesfully used in catalytic hydrotreaters.

I'd recommend contacting Armstrong-Chemtec.
