Hi everyone,
I am using Abaqus/Explicit to model surface based cohesive property. In global property I am using normal contact and I have defined the cohesive behaviour in contact properties. However by changing the cohesive properties (like Stiffness and Damage) the model is not responding any changes in output.
In Warning, I have received " OP=NEW on *CONTACT is ignored when the general contact definition is specified as model data."

How to overcome this? Is it really possible to define Cohesive behaviour in Abaqus/ Explicit ? Kindly suggest.

Which version of Abaqus are you using ? Is it general contact or contact pairs ?

I am using Abaqus/CAE 2017 version. The contact property is general contact. Inside general contact, we have the option to define contact domain and contact properties.
In contact domain I have defined " all with self" and in contact properties I have defined properties for two surfaces. I have attached the pictures. Kindly go through them.

The definition seems to be correct. Check if cohesive behavior works for the selected surfaces - try pulling them apart.
