I am looking for information on what instrumentation and testing criteria would apply to physical model studies for centrifugal pump inlet piping.

For pump inlet piping conditions that do not comply with the requirements of HI 9.6.6 the standard appears to allow for a physical model study to be performed. I am interested in learning what criteria need to be measured and what the passing test criteria would be for this. I am wondering if these criteria could be field applied to an existing installation.

I am grateful for any input/feedback that you may be able to offer! Thank you!
