hello every one i have a question how can i determine number of risers for a building is it equal to number of zones per floor or what ?

It's based on the system areas that you are permitted to protect.
A 300k sq ft storage warehouse will need 8 systems, so you have 8 risers.
If I have a 3 story office building of 40k sq ft per floor, I can have one "riser" and then individual floor control assemblies on each floor from the common vertical supply pipe - typically located in a stairwell.
