Is it correct to install a beam detector on this site? Is there a NFPA regulation on this?圖片_20241026133551.jpg

As long as installed per manufacture instructions,,,, I see no problem

Normally I see them lower on the wall

because about Factory inspection team request we install location likt picture, but The instruction manual requires that the beam detector should be 1 meter above, below, left, and right side without any obstructions............
 
I would call manufacture tech support

Ask them if it is ok.
 
NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code - see attached excerpt, assuming this is a beam type smoke detector.
