please your advice about the design of two pipes connected to the heat exchanger
below two examples
-1- anchor restraint at the end of two pipes
-2- anchor connected together with rigid element(0 weight)using connecting node
So, which example (1 or 2) best describes the real design of the model in caesar ii?

what's CNODE?

Cnode is a term from Caesar II that allows you "connect" two nodes so that they move together. It's typically used with equipment nozzle with piping, so that the piping will displaced by the equipment flange growth/movement.

Method 2 will be most accurate and is the way the Caesar manuals recommend it. If you have known displacements/movements at the HE connections, you can use Method 1 with assigned displacements instead of anchors.

Consider a repost in the COADE, Inc: CAESAR II forum ...
