guarding for exposed drive shaft

I am looking for a telescopic sleeve to use as a guard for an exposed drive shaft on a wood processing machine.
Guard dimensions would need to be 100mm internal DIA X 2600mm long, The guard would need to colapse to 1000mm in length
The type of guard I have in mind would be made from spring steel strip or plastic and wound in a helical form. I have seen them used as lead screw covers on old milling machines. can anyone help with the name of a manufacturer
 
You might check with Thomas Register or local or major implement dealers for sources -- many of the mobile equipment I see these days have PTO's utilizing similar type guards...
