$37.77 with free shipping or $27.77 with Google checkout (if it is the first time you are using it).

3D Connexion Space Navigator PE

Wow, that is a good price. Just remember that the support is a little different for the PE v. SE version. I have never purchased from Buy.com, are they reputable? How is there service? What do you by "if it is the first time you are using it"?

Google is giving $10 off for first time users of Google checkout.

Also, looks like that is a 'personal use license', meaning you can't use it at work.

Yes, that is what I was trying to point out in my previous post about the PE (Personal Edition) v. SE (Standard Edition). Either way a PE for home use at that price seems like a pretty good deal.

I buy from Buy.com all the time. Their CS is great and they always have GREAT prices. They are actually one of the largest retailers for electronics online.

the navigator is really useful:-

in wildfire the cursor used to spin a big part or assy will prehighlight as soon as the spin is stopped unless its switched off by confuguration file.

if the cursor is moved off the screen and spinning / reorientation is done with navigator, there no time wasted waiting for (unnecessary) prehighlighting.

Makes me think that prehighlighting was tested on basic models (if at all)

BTW I'd still like 'select by menu' option to be on right mouse button......anyone know how to get this back

It should be there, but it's called 'pick from list' now. You may have to get something to pre-highlight first. If you've got pre-highlighting off, I think it ought to be there when you right click.

I have PH turned off, never did like it much especiall in assembly mode. but if I place my cursor over the part RMB and select Query then pick the partI'll get the pick from list window. I then can cycle down the list by righ clicking or go up and select the feature.
