Hello Fellow members,

Does anyone come arcoss using adhesives to bond valox to valox together without having surface pre-treatment such as corona, flaming, and plasma? If not, what type of materials can be used to replace valox? Is PVC a good alternate material? The assembly parts need good chemical resistance. It looks like a flute pipe. Please advise.

Thank you.

The chemical resistance of PBT is the reason it is very difficult to glue.

GE should be able to provide advice on the gluing of Valox, as Valox is their trade name for their PBT.

3M also specialise in adhesives for difficult to glue plastics.

Much more information is required before anyone with any sense would attempt to recommend an alternative material to the one originally selected.

Regards
