we have a problem with starting a gas turbine all is ready but at 4200tr/mn we have a shut down
the only think that we have changed is the dust louver but with not the right one in dimensions so I ask if this change influence on the machine and exactely at axial compressor of the turbine? the desander is the same but the seven 7 dust louver were changed it look's the same but in reality and construcion their is many differencies
best regards to us

So what is your question?

I want to know if this louvers infuence or disturbe the air suction of the axial compressor of turbine.
they were changed by others not identical in dimensions.(extrnal sizing the same but internal elements are different)
these louvers are situated in air chamber of turbine

Yes they will.

The manufacturer won't be impressed!

But you should be measuring entry pressure into the turbine d/s the dust elements?

What was the differential pressure versus what you ha before or what the vendor recommends?

Hi,
Why don't you call the vendor? At the end of the day, whatever answer you will receive in this forum, you will have to do it.
Changing louvers is not a small thing and should be well documented through an MOC, with appropriate signatures.

This GT must be in a location where there is sometimes sand entrained in the air supply to the GT. Why did you have to change the #7 louvre - some dust or sand may now be in the axial compressor section of the GT ? Did you check the desander for traces of sand?
