hello,

I am looking for ideas on how to measure the force exerted on biological dialysis tubing (filled with solution and biological materials).

Are there any professional systems that would allow be to prod the system and get a force feedback reading?

What about home-made systems? something I can do, with sufficient accuracy and precision. I need to see at what force applied does the turgid tube begin to depress at the point of exertion.

Something like that would be optimal, but the problek is sensitivity...those only go as low as 10N; I would need one around the 1N range
 
The DFS2-250G from Ametek Chatillon has an accuracy of +/- 2.5 mN over a range of 2.5 N, which seems suitable for your usage. Even the DFS2-002 seems suitable, it has an accuracy of +/- 10 mN over a range of 10 N.

The Mitutoyo instrument you linked is for measuring distance/displacement, not force. It is like an LVDT.
