Hello
I m building a road in a flat area so I need to rise the road one meter above natural ground level
Any idea what should be the slope of my fill for one meter height ?
If you can send me a reference it would be perfect

This forum is for the threads related with structural engineering . Better post your thread civil engineering forum to get better responds..

You did not define road classification.. is this a secondary road?

Just write ( recoverable road side slope ) and search the web...one of the authority having jurisdiction limits the side slope =
(Slopes flatter than 1:4 are generally considered recoverable, where motorists generally can stop their vehicles or slow them down enough to safely return to the roadway....)

IMO , slopes steeper than 1:3 are not recoverable..

Thank you for your tip
I will post it on the civil engineering forum
And i m checking recoverable road side slope
