Fiber laser

Hi,
Is operating the fiber laser same as CO2 laser? I never operate a fiber laser but my potential employer has one. Thanks

At what level? Pushing the ON button would probably be pretty comparable. Laser safety, etc., on the other hand...

@IRstuff: I just work on the CO2 laser before, never run the fiber one. So I have no idea how to run it.

Are you "just" operating the equipment, or are you designing process profiles? If the former, then you just follow their recipes. If the latter, then you need to do more study than just getting random answers on the internet.

I'm with IRstuff, especially the safety aspect. That light is very dangerous compared to CO2.
