Hi I have never had this problem and all of sudden this is happening on this one part. But I have this very complex drawing I am just wanting to extrude and then subtract from the other body. Unfortunately NX is just extruding it as a sheet and not an actual solid. I did check the extrusion settings and it is on solid but it is not working or listening to its own settings. It extrudes one part of it as a solid but the solid is going the wrong way... I would love to post a pic but I have no idea how to get a pic in url format when its on NX or paint or anything for that matter.

Also I am using NX6

Thanks,

Myke

This is usually an indication of a problem in your section string. At a guess, I'd say some of your curves are not coincident (gaps between end points) and/or some curves are out of plane.

Makes sense but it doesn't sat interfering curves like it normally does when there is a problem. Also wouldn't it not create an outline(sheet extrude) of the sketch I wanted to extrude if there were gaps.

Thanks,

Without at least a picture, or the part file itself, it would be a bit hard to give any useful advise.

As for posting a picture, it doesn't have to be included in the body of the post, just upload the image file to the 'Engineering.com' site (link at the bottom of the 'reply' window).

Ok well I went though every connection point and curve in the structure and made sure everyone was coincident, there were a lot of them not, and still nothing... Is it better to have the setting on infer curves, connected curves, etc...

Thanks

Found out what was wrong cowski was right there was one line that was not coincident. 2 lines right on top of each other and one was coincident with one side and the other was coincident with the other side. I didn't realize there were 2 lines there deleted one new coincident constraint and it worked!

THANKS!!
