Hello,
Our plant is currently on an extended period of shutdown (probably 4 weeks) and I would like to know if there are any procedures that need be done for the steam & thermal oil distribution piping during the shutdown.
On the boilers side, they are currently being run for several hours on a regular basis but the main steam & thermal distribution valve are currently closed. Is it worthwhile to open the main valves from time to time during this shutdown period or can we wait after the shutdown has ended? For instance, will the fitting gaskets be affected by this shutdown?
Thanks
Rgds,
Davis
