Under the 'popular' options select 'Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon' & OK. Click on the Developer Ribbon. Click on Document Panel. At the bottom of the Dialog box that opens you have a check box for Always show Document Information Panel.... Deselect. There might be a more direct way, but that should do it. Upvote 0 Downvote
