Can any one advise on the following

Can you change Trade name of Welding Electrode according to Asme IX code

Agree in most cases. However, for SAW in some cases you can't. If you're referring to SAW review QW404.9

Review the applicable welding variables for the welding process as listed in Section IX, Article 2.
