We do induction heat treatment of axle shafts made of EN8D and then furnace temper it.Axle shafts are 58-62 HRC as quenched.for how much time and at what temperature we temper them to get 55-56HRC on surface?

Assuming a belt furnace, 45-60 minutes for one hour at 350-375F would be the norm for induction hardened axle shafts.

We are Tempering at 200C at 60 minutes.

thejackal3,it will, help,if you provide your thermal cycle details in the initial post, rather than providing them after someone responds. This will avoid wastage of time and discussions . Also,it will generate more meaningful response.
