I am involved with a new project using european normative EN-13480.

My question is about the right cases combination based on thermal stresses.

Regards.

Paulusp,
You state "My question is about the right cases combination based on thermal stresses." So what is the question?

¿how to make the right combination of loads cases using eurpean normative?

Thanks!

You'll need Sustained and Expansion for the typical job.

What other loading events/items do you have (besides weight, pressure, and temperature)?

I have wind, sesimic and snow.

From EN-13480, I understand that:

12.3 Flexibility Analysis

eq. 12.3.2-1 (SIGMA 1): SUSTAINED
eq. 12.3.3-1 (SIGMA 2): SUSTAINED + SEISMIC/WIND/SNOW
eq. 12.3.4-1 (SIGMA 3): EXPANSION + SEISMIC/WIND/SNOW
eq. 12.3.4-2 (SIGMA 4): EXPANSION + SEISMIC/WIND/SNOW (if SIGMA 3 is not satisfied)
eq. 12.3.5-1 (SIGMA 5): EXPANSION + SEISMIC/WIND/SNOW (for CREEP RANGE)
eq. 12.3.5-1 (SIGMA 6): ANCHOR MOVEMENTS

I am preparing the Caesar's loads combinations based on this equations.

Any recomendations for SIGMA 3, 4, 5, 6 ?

Thanks.
