I am trying to find the precise English word of "the elimination of a cladding part to create a bevel" (see attached figure).
Justification of this operation :
a)Welding (carbon products) base metal 1+2
b)Appropriation (cleaning, machining or grinding) of the surface before CND
c) CND
d) Welding (cladding side) with stainless products...

ATsampalas, not sure what the formal term is, if any, but I think "strip" or "remove cladding for XX distance from weld bevel" will be clear enough.

Agree with SnTMan and use a note or the phrase "locally remove the cladding from the weld region as indicated"

Very like SnTMan, we used "strip back cladding" a minimum of X-inch from weld bevel in our specifications.
