I am the user of Compress Program in Thailand and would like to know in the wind force coeffcient as next question.Normally, Cf in wind code dialog box for column is between 0.8-1.2 but Cf in Platform is default at 2 as per Compress Manual so I would like to know if wind force coefficient, Cf in wind code dialox box, ASCE 7-02 is same as Cf in platform in dialox box. If yes, what Cf of the program uses to calculate? If it is not, I want to know the platform Cf's approximate value should be. Additional, I want to know if Cf for platform is 1.2 is acceptable for calculation Process Column.

Refer to Figure 6-19 of ASCE 7-02 for the Cf of your column and Figure 6-21 of ASCE 7-02 for the Cf of your platform. The wind force coefficient depends on the geometry of the object you are analyzing. I think it is best to talk to your structural engineer.
