Using NX 9...
Does anyone know why when I create a Sketch or Extrude and use the default coordinate system as the basis for the sketch, the coordinate system is removed and is no longer in the part navigator.
When I create the sketch or extrude under the settings options I turn off the "Create Intermediate Datum CSYS" which is what appears to cause the Coordinate System to vanish because if I leave that option on the coordinate system remains.
Why would the feature that uses that coordiante system as its basis for reference remove the Coordinate system from the list of Part Navigator features?
I would preference to reference it and have another features also reference it.
The reason I turn off the "Create Intermediate Datum CSYS" is it appears to cause odd failures and warnings when earlier features are changed. Once I started using the sketches with that option off those odd failures have subsided.
The failures always seemed to be that I needed to re-reference a new sketch plane or Sketch Orientation even though nothing had changed for those sketches.
