Date on template

$PRP:"SW-ShortDate" is what I used on my template to get the date but I notice that this updates to today's date when I resave the drawing if I need to make a change/ECO?

Is there another $PRP code I should be using?

No, you'll need to use a custom property to permenately store the desired date. Here's an old macro that have a method to do that:
