I'm working in a Steel Building project, but designer doesn't use code connections. I had used previously RAM connections but this program only allow code connections. Don't know if is there a program (software) more customizable in the type of connections.
Help!.

Are you responsible for designing the connections or checking this other engineers work? If there is just a few one-off custom connections, I'd suggest pencil and paper for checking them. If there are a lot of unique connections to check, you should still start with pencil and paper, but you might want to write some spreadsheets to handle the repetition if any.

For standard connections, I have spreadsheets. For non-standard connections I use hand calculations and spreadsheets where I can; so I can't make any recommendations for software.

I won't design or check the connections only need the drawings.

Can you sketch a couple of the connections so we can see what they look like and comment on them?

So, you're "designing" a steel building, but it sounds more like you're looking for a "program" that accepts (analyzes) non-Code connections, right?

Why would you expect a national program for analysis accept non-Code as defaults inside its software? If there are exceptions to "Code compliance" in YOUR construction (YOUR building), YOU need to be able justify that those non-standard connections are adequate.

I would interpret your "code connection" as predefined common connection and "non code" connection as non-standard custom connection, right?

Normally in a project 80%~90% connection can be standardized as standard steel connection. The remain 10%~20% is non-standard one and can be done manually.
