Dear all,

I'm trying to model the impact response of a sandwich panel with a sintered network of metallic fibres in the core. The closest material model in the ABAQUS material library is the crushable foam since it is compressible. However, there is no associated fracture criterion for the crushable foam (unlike those that exist for metals). It is actually quite important that i model core failure and was hoping that perhaps someone on this forum had any suggestions. For instance, how easy/difficult would it be to write a sub-routine? Are sub-routines of this type available anywhere - perhaps that could be bought? I'd be interested to hear any ideas.

I'm using V6.6 at the moment but also have the 6.7PR5. I expect to receive the full V6.7 shortly.

Thanks

James
