This is my first laminate build up and im having trouble determing if i have the right values or where i can get the right values to enter for my skin ply mat card. Im working with an E-761-4581 Quartz prepreg, glass reinforced ply with the following data available.
Tesile Strength
Tesile Modulus
Compressive Modulus
Compressive Strength
Flexural Strength
Flexural Modulus
Short Beam Shear

From what ive found out, i need two Young Modulus', three Shear Modulus', and a poissons ratio, none of which i believe i have. Any help on where i could get these values would be helpful.

If you can't find them documented, you may have to generate an estimate for them based on the properties of the constituent materials. The constituent material properties should be available from the material manufacturer. Once you have them, you have to know how your part will be manufactured (compression molding, autoclave, vacuum bag, etc.) and from that can make some guesses about the fiber volume. Using this fiber volume, you can calculate an initial estimate through formulas for laminated plates or fiber-reinforced composites.

I believe Materials Sciences Corporation may have an online calculator at
