Create a function through another matlab

I need to know if it's possible to create a function through a matlab script. I have a m file to do a numerical method anda there is a function that need's to be introduced by the user. I made a GUIDE to help the introduction of the variables but i don't know how to introduce a function and save the same function that will be used in the rest of the program.

Can anyone help me?
