Hello everybody,

I have two plates resting on each other and at some point the upper one slides along the touching surface of the lower plate. I want to define a constraint that forbids a certain point on the upper plate to leave a certain area on the lower plate. i cant use the connector slide plane because the lower plate is moving as well.

thanks in advance

How is this constraint enforced in real life ? What makes the upper plate stay in designated area of lower plate ? And what kind of process do you want to simulate ?

the two plates have slots and are connected by a bolt. so the degress of freedom are constrained. But this modell is just a simple test for a more complicated model, where multiple planks are connected via that long slots and bolts and that grid setup is then deployed to open up. I want to simplify that slot bolt connection. So i work with a combination of the Constraint MPC SLIDER and Connector Slot with a Stop Criteria. So back to my original problem During the deployment of the grid, planks are in contact with each other and i want a certain point on the surface of the one plank not to leave a specified area on the other plank.
