I am in the market for a new cooling load program. What are some options?

carrier's hap, trane also has program, can be found on their pages, elite and carmel software also have it

Me gusto HAPS. Some old threads on this are very god and will give you more detail.

knowledge is power

Does anyone here use Elite?

I use Elite Software's "CHVAC" program. I have used Carrier's HAP program and it is far more difficult to use. CHVAC is superior to any other load calculation program in my opinion. It is easy, straightforward, accurate, and there is free technical support.

The only downside is that CHVAC is not as widely used probably. I also use RHVAC for residential.

One thing they just added to CHVAC is the functionality to choose any commercial equipment such as cooking equipment from a drop down list. Very very nice feature.

I use both HAP and CHVAC. CHVAC is easier to use, but HAP has the bonus of running energy consumption calculations.

BEst program is HAND calculation

The HAND calculation? I would like to see someone do a hand calculation accurately on two projects a week using the RTS method lol.
