Hello.

Could anybody help me with my problem? I have response spectrum of acceleration and I would like to get acceleration time-history with the same properties as were used for computation of my response spectrum. I was looking for it in the Internet, but no idea how to perfrom this with matlab. I need to do that in matlab. I have basic experience with matlab and this is for me really difficult. Please help me, if someone knows more about it. Thanks.

You can't recreate the actual time history of a signal from its spectrum if that spectrum has been averaged and/or lacks phase information.

Depending on what you are trying to do then you can generate a random phase spectrum, turn the pair of spectra into complex numbers and then IFFT it.
