To avoid chipping the bored pile head is it possible just to let the concrete overflow to remover the dirt of the concrete?

That's how it's normally done for the drilled shafts installed for us. They pump it in and let it overflow until there's no water or contaminants in the concrete where it interfaces with the foundation or is finished smooth.

What do we call on that procedure? and is it applicable in the philippines

@Chacheyyy ; Drilled shafts are different because the hole has water. Either way, it is the same, pour concrete until it overflows. But estimate the quantity you expect to use, sometimes voids can occur causing the concrete to slip through those voids.

@BridgeSmith ; I'm recently out of school so correct me where I'm wrong. Applying my field experience.

We specify to have the top overflow until the concrete is clean, be it water or dirt contamination. We estimate and pay for drilled shafts by the foot of length, which includes drilling, reinforcing, and whatever concrete is required to fill voids and get neat concrete at the top of the shaft.
