sharpedge,

Are you looking for laminate property data? Or the ability to estimate laminate property data?

has an online calculator. It's a little difficult to use, but it works.

I think it would be impossible to really generate a "Laminate Property Database" because one change in direction of one play and the properties can change dramatically. A "Lamina" database might work for some of the more common materials, but these days, what's "common" in the composites world.

Thanks GBor, basically what 'm looking for is data of laminate made from carbon or glass .i.e. the E1,E2, V12 G12 values.

Thanks.

Mil-Handbook-17, Volume 2. Find online or purchase at astm.org.

Note: E1, E2, etc are lamina (ply) values, not laminate values.

The Materials Sciences link is still a good one. They have an electronic version of Mil-Handbook-17. As SWComposites suggested, it is probably the best source of this type of info.

Thanks mate, sorry i met to say lamina not laminate..thanks for the much information.

cheers.
