thread176-146176
I have further question about that is reference to the thread above. I have a 20' tall vertical wall mullion that has 5'-0" of perpendicular wind tributary (Say 25 PSF Net Service- in any direction). The Vertical fin has a nosing projection that projects 2'-0" off the vertical mullion, this fin is all vertical thus creating a torsion on the mullion, which results in a moment twisting about the Z axis at the top & Bottom. My question is, is there a case where I combine out of plane winds with perpendicular(orthogonal) winds like and 75% load Case 3 for MWFRS. This is for Components and Cladding loads.
