I'm trying to research the change in modulus of elasticity with the increase of temperature in sst 304. I need to know the defection in a beam as the temperature increases. If anyone has any information pleas let me know.
Thanks

Modulus data for 304 may be found on Allegheny Ludlum's site, look up one of their Blue Sheets.
The important point is that above ~1000F (540C) deformation becomes time dependent. Stress is no longer proportional to strain, i.e., Hooke's Law is repealed above this temperature. Nevertheless, everyone, including Yours Truly, publishes dynamic modulus numbers for the higher temperatures. The dynamic modulus can not be used to calculate a beam deflection. I know of no purpose in publishing it, other than everyone else does, so do we likewise, albeit with disclaimer.
