We have to extend an old project where relay protections in 20 kV switchgear are REF541/543. To keep the system similar new cubicles are equipped with the same REF541.
Of course all installation of the software is missing (even that old laptop is scrapped) and I have to install it again.
I use a Virtual Machine with Windows XP Professional, installataion of CAP 505 , version 2.5 is going smmothly. MicroSCADA user account is created automatically, I started CAP and dearchived .AR project with relays from the first stage.
The problem appears on the next day. I start Virtual Machine, try to open CAP and receive the following message window: "The MicroSCADA user is not allowed to open a monitor".
There is no other user accounts on the VM, I am logged as MicroSCADA user, so where is the problem ?!
This effect happens the same way with other installation on other VM too.

It may be like this in theory and practice, but in real life it is completely different.
