Cantilevered Masonry Wall

Are there any specific things to watch out for when designing a 10' deep masonry wall/beam cantilevering out 6' picking up 44 kips at the end?

We have an odd situation where a building's facade sticks out and one of the ideas was to extend an already existing masonry wall and use it as a deep beam rather than pour concrete. The facade is used to hide rooftop equipment and the back walls form the equipment room.

I am designing reinforcing bars to carry all the shear and fully grouting the wall. How far beyond the cantilever should I extend my full grouted cells?

So what you really have is upturned deep masonry beam? I do not think the masonry code addresses this but since the beams are cantilevered is there anything bracing the compression flange on the beam?

In concrete you have fifty "b", but masonry does not address the issue. It is possible that the allowable masonry stresses are so low that it is not an issue, but it maybe something you wish to consider.

Also, what is equipment room framing? Are steel joists creating the floor area? Make sure to have enough depth so that the framing does not want to break out of the bottom of the beam.

Is the wall taking out-of-plane loads? It would have to be a case you need to check. Also, if the facade acts as a parapet you zone 2 areas have zone 4 pressures downward. So it may add to the load you are trying to carry.

 
Yes, it is a upturned deep beam.
In masonry, it is 32b for unbraced compression flange.

The equipment room is really only to host cooling towers. No roof over it. Just a wall around its 4 sides.

I would extend the grouting and reinforcing about 10' back onto the structure. Maybe more if the facade is heavy. Detail the facade supports so they brace the end of the outrigger wall.
 
I would extend the grouting and reinforcement back to the point where the wall is able to balance the cantilever without reliance on wall beyond the cutoff.
