I am new to SolidWorks, and made this half of a hood for a baja car I am building. I can't figure out how to mirror it to make it complete. The loft will not work if the profile sketches include both halves. I cannot create the loft with open sketches either, using thin feature in loft. Maybe I am missing something obvious, but would be very grateful for help.

Can you post the SW file so we can take a look at it?

It is possible that the face that is supposed to be the middle of the hood isn't exactly square/perpendicular anymore. Possibly, during the sweep it twisted ever so slightly so it is the tiniest bit skewed from the true mid-plane.
Then, when it tries to mirror, it can't figure it out how to handle it.

If you can post the SW file, it would be much easier to see exactly what is happening.

First what plane are you trying to mirror from? I see you have 3 added plans but I dont know which direction you are trying to mirror in.

I originally tried to but i received a server error. I am not sure how to upload otherwise.
