I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this valve is and what its used for? As far as I can tell it's some kind of solenoid operated valve, but that's about all I can figure with my limited knowledge. It looks pretty specialized so its got me curious. Anything you guys could tell me would be great!

Eaton/Vickers can tell you, by means of cut sheets for the three valves stacked in the photo, or corresponding catalogs.
At least do a search for each of the model numbers on the tags; we can't see them in your image.

That's right it's a KFDG5V 7 proportional directional valve. Better performance than the non-feedback KDG5V version but not as good as the double feedback KHDG5V.
