can i consider suction line and discharge line of pump in the same test package (material class and hydro test pressure is same )?

It is possible provided you isolate the pump. Since pumps have seals and glands which are not 100% leakproof you need to isolate the pump. Also normally pumps have suction nozzle rating less than discharge nozzle rating.

Sakib, not sure what you are asking - can you be more specific.
Do you want to test the inlet pipework, discharge pipework and pump together, as a complete unit?

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Typically, the testing of the piping is isolated from the equipment due to the different requirements of the Code and Standard. The Project may prepare a testing plan with a sketch to show the proper isolations of the equipment from the Suct & Disch piping, the required testing pressure, and adequate vents and drain for the test.
