Dear all,

we are facing problems with proper condensate removal in "old" steam distribution piping. I was wondering whether there is good literature available describing this topic especially at which distance to put steam traps, start up dewatering devices, slopes, etc. and how to maintain the respective devices. Thanks in advance for your input.

Spirax Sarco design of fluid systems - I think it is even available free online

Thx,

their website is also a very good resource.

Armstrong used to provide a very concise and good book on trapping and I mentioned the link many times in these fora. Now they are selling everything. Spirax steam system and hookup handbooks are good.
