I am looking for a recommendation on process control valves.
I am designing new pressure vessels with automatic control valves for a condensate (180-deg. F) polishing water treatment. The existing equipment (15+ years service) has y-pattern globe valves (cast iron body) with air-powered diaphragm actuator. The plant operators have had to rebuild all of the diaphragms and seats three or four times, and more individual valves sporadically. They're hoping to get a lower maintenance valve with the new system.
The valves range in size from 2" to 6" and line pressure is less than 100 psi. Plant air is available for control. Electric actuators are acceptable.
I wish I could say, money is no object--but we have to keep it real (in other words: Suburban versus Hummer).
Thanks for any advice.
