Morning all.

I've got an eccentrically loaded 5 sided pad modelled in in Strand7 and I am wanted to calculate whether I need to increase the size or not. I want to do this by finding out what the bearing pressure is under the pad.

See below:

How do I find out the bearing pressure?

Thanks for the help.

You should be able to plot stress in the ZZ direction, but you need to make sure that you are modelling what you want. You have a negative reaction force at the top of the footing, which is presumably not what you want. If you post your Strand7 model we can see how you have applied restraints and forces, etc, and provide better advice.
