Hey guys,
I see a few of the old crew are still posting.
I refused to participate in this "new look" website for months due to my disgust they had taken an excellent website and completely changed it - "If it ain't broke don"t fix it".
Not sure how long I had participated (at least 10 years) but to have someone come in and try to justify their job by changing a successful formula left me unimpressed.
Anyway, I need help.
How do I save "Favourites" like on the old website ?
Cheers,
Shane

I actually like it a lot better.

I updated my bookmark for this site to that URL and I find it works pretty well to replace the favorites from the old layout. All my favorites transferred over with the new site, so I didn't have to do much once I found that URL. The biggest change from the old layout is that it won't automatically mark a forum in that list as "read" unless all the posts in it are also marked as read. When viewing a forum, you can mark all the posts in it as read using the "Mark read" button at the top right of the post list. Next to that is also the button for either adding or removing the forum from your watched forum list. An improvement over the old layout is that the new one doesn't automatically add a forum to your watched list simply by viewing it, you have to manually add it.

I'm with you Shane. My site visits have dramatically decreased. The new version isn't (too) bad, but to me it's just not as good as the older one. 'If it ain't broken ...' really makes the point.
I also still don't understand the reason for a chance. In addition, I'm curious if the new layout has changed the site traffic and posting (noticeably)

If you want ot add a forum to your "favourites" you now add it to your "watched list" by clicking the link when in the forum on the top right.

If you want to save a post to your library, you now "bookmark" it from the symbol on the top right of the first post ( the little bookmark symbol)

It is different, some features are nice like the read all in that forums or even all of them, some of the more social medial type things, likes, instant messaging etc are a bit tiresome and you need to go iont your settings and unclick a load of the things that swampy your e-mail, but yes, it's not too dissimilar and you do get used to it.
