need a little help with of acceptance criteria for RT of butt welds , I have a 1" weld ,based on 6.12.1.1 (1) Table 6.1 allows discontinuities can be up to .6875" in size; 6.12.1.1(2) also limits spacing of discontinuities.example; If I have two indications 1/8" in lenght that are acceptable for size but too close together according to Table 6.1 C factor , the weld is rejected based on spacing of Discontinuities not thier size, . In other words can a indication thats acceptable for size but fails the spacing requirments be cause for reject of weld.

What welding standard/code are you referring to. If you are looking at AWS D1.1, Table 6.1 addresses visual acceptnce criteria, not RT criteria.

Yes. As the requirement is if 'any' of the limitations is exceeded. Therefore if your 1/8" discontinuities are spaced less than ~2/5" (~10 mm) per Figure 6.1 then it is a reject weld. (D1.1 2004/2008/2010)
