Attached Reference files as Read Only for other users.

Lately when someone has a .dgn file open from our server, with references attached, the reference file can not be opened by other users from the server except as Read-Only. All file and Novell attributes say the file is not read only. I know that uS/J makes the attachments read-only for the .dgn to which they are attached but is there a setting that tells uStation to make attached refs not read-only to other users that are trying to edit the file (this is the way it always worked in the past, until something changed about a week ago)?

Under the pull down ... Workspace
go to "perferences"
go to "reference file"
Is "upadte self attachments" on or off? I think it has to be on for both machines!
Try that.
