ASME Sec I, PTFH 12.2 states that
"For heaters having more than 500 ft2 (47m2) of liquid heating surface or an electrical heating capacity greater than 1,100 kW, two or more Pressure Relief valves shall be provided"
Is there any regulation specifying the required capacity of these PSVs? Should they be sized as 2 × 100% (one as a spare), 2 × 50%, or one at 100% with a smaller backup? Reference to ASME is highly preferred.
