Is hard stamp for shell plates mandatory according to ASME SecVII Dİv1? Which code number/paragraph defines depth etc details regarding hard stamp?

Are you referring to the markings from the mill to identify what a plate is?

If so you should review ASME SA20 clause 13.

Thanks for reply. Para 13.2 is clear for understanding regarding manufacturer plate markings.

I should have noted that SA20 would be valid for the majority of carbon steel materials, you would need to look in SA480 for stainless materials.

Each material spec will point at its appropriate general spec. For instance SA516 lists SA20 as a reference, whereas SA240 references SA480.
