Hi all,

425.3 and 425.4, limitations are referred to para. 408.4 and 408.5 respectively.

I couldn't seem to find 408.4 or 408.5 in my version of 2012 edition. I do have these paragraphs in the 2006 edition.

You reckon this has been an oversight in both 2009 and 2012 editions? Or am I missing something.

Maybe a reference error and the 408.4 and 408.5 should read 404.4.7 and 404.4.8 in the 2012 edition.

I think you're correct. You probably need to write to ASME to get a definitive statement, but I don't think you're missing anything.

My motto: Learn something new every day

Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

Thanks. I might try writing to ASME for the first time and will post the response in some 2 years when I receive it.
