Dear all,

Would anyone have information on the expected revision of the AS 1210, due on 15 Dec 2007. Is it still on, any info on the extent of revision?

Perhaps, someone from the board might give us an idea?

Cheers,

As far as I know yes.
Did you not attend one of the courses held last year?
There will be various changes
The changes were available online and were open to comment.
Where are you in Oz?

Hi roca,
I cannot wait to see the new edition. I feel that we've been left ages behind. I also hope to not be disappointed.
And I live at the opposite end from you, contracting..
cheers,

I have a copy of the draft if you want it

hi roca,
I've got some not very good news from the "horse's" mouth regarding the AS 1210. The draft circulated a while ago is no longer even close to the expected code, the code itself has been (being?) given a significant "re-write" (I assume in the view of ASME VIII 2007 re-write) and it won't be available untill (at least) mid next year. Apparently the board is divided on what to do (gossip). Mean time, hand calculations are still accepted by the WorkCover in Melbourne...1997 code,Ha!
cheers,
