Hi,

I am working on OH2 type pump that is in compliance with API 610 11th Edition.
Material of construction selected for this application is A351 CF8M.
A vendor mentions due to material they can not confirm MAWP 40 bar @38'C and they can confirm only 35 bar @ 38'C
But i think according to 6.3.5-b of API all OH2 pump shall have at least MAWP equal to 40 bar.
is my understanding true or not?
Thank you for your time

Ye, the MAWP should be 40 bar, that said the manufacture is able to deviate from this provided they tell you.

This can be done in order to off you a more cost effective solution. DO you need need the 40 bar MAWP?

Thank you physicshack

our design for downstream line is 26 bar @ 100 'C
and calculated MAWP for pump by vendor (according to API 6.3.5) is 19.5 bar @ 100 'C
can i accept this deviation (35 bar @ 38'C)?
